Compare Switch Adapters

Switch Pro is the straightforward choice for compatible Android phones. Switch Max provides greater flexibility across compatible Android and iPhone setups. Add the Bluetooth eSIM Card Reader when you need to download and manage profiles from an iPhone or outside a compatible Android phone.

Compatibility depends on the exact device model, regional variant, operating system, physical SIM slot, carrier-lock status and installed eSIM plan.

Switch currently describes Pro as primarily intended for Android, Max as the Android-and-iPhone option, and the Bluetooth reader as the profile-management option for iPhone and devices that cannot directly configure the adapter.

  • Choose Switch Pro if:

    • You use a compatible Android phone.
    • You want to install and manage profiles through the Switch Android app.
    • You do not need to manage profiles directly from an iPhone.
    • You want the most affordable entry point into the Switch system.

Check Your Android Phone Before Ordering

Switch adapters typically work with most compatible devices, even if the exact model is not included on our device list.

The fastest way to check an Android phone is through the Switch Android App.

How to check

  1. Download and open the Switch Android App.
  2. Go to the Phone tab.
  3. Find Slot State.
  4. Look for Available SIM 1 or Available SIM 2.

If Available SIM 1 or Available SIM 2 appears next to Slot State, your phone is compatible with a Switch adapter.

P.S Your phone must have a usable physical SIM slot. An eSIM-only device without a physical SIM tray cannot use a Switch adapter.

  • I only use Android

Choose Switch Pro for the simplest option.

It lets you install and manage supported eSIM profiles through the Switch Android App on a compatible phone.

    Recommended: Switch Pro

  • I use Android and iPhone

    Choose Switch Max.

You can manage profiles using a compatible Android phone and then use the configured adapter in a compatible iPhone with a physical SIM tray.

    Recommended: Switch Max

  • I only use iPhone

Choose Switch Max with the Bluetooth Card Reader.

The reader gives you a way to install and manage profiles without relying on a compatible Android phone.

Your iPhone must have a physical SIM tray.

Recommended: Switch Max + Bluetooth Reader

  • I want to use a router or hotspot

Choose Switch Max with the Bluetooth Card Reader.

Configure the adapter with the reader before placing it in the router or hotspot. You may also need to enter the provider’s APN manually in the device settings.

Recommended: Switch Max + Bluetooth Reader

  • I frequently switch devices

Choose Switch Max or Switch Max with the Bluetooth Card Reader.

Switch Max provides greater flexibility for moving a configured adapter between compatible devices.

    Recommended: Switch Max

  • I want the easiest profile-management setup

Choose Switch Max with the Bluetooth Card Reader.

The reader lets you manage the adapter separately, without repeatedly moving it into a compatible Android phone.

Recommended: Switch Max + Bluetooth Reader

Important Compatibility Requirements

Physical SIM slot

Your target device must have a compatible physical SIM-card slot.

Switch adapters cannot be inserted into devices that are eSIM-only or do not have a removable SIM tray.

Unlocked device

Your phone or connected device should be carrier-unlocked.

A locked device may reject the adapter or prevent it from connecting to another carrier.

Compatible eSIM provider

Your eSIM provider must offer an activation method that can be used with Switch.

Some providers may:

  • Require activation through their own app
  • Restrict profiles to approved devices
  • Perform IMEI checks
  • Limit profile downloads
  • Prevent third-party adapter use

Network support

The target device must support the network bands used by the carrier.

A Switch adapter does not add 4G, LTE, or 5G bands to your device.

Provider settings

Depending on your provider, you may need to:

  • Enter the APN manually
  • Enable data roaming
  • Restart the device
  • Select the correct profile
  • Choose the appropriate network mode
